It will be just like magic when foreign language students' attention and interest are sparked. Foreign Language and ESL teachers will learn about different ways they can integrate and personalize technology to motivate their students. Ideas will address multiple intelligences and pave the way to enhance foreign language instruction through easily accessed technology.
This session focuses on making educators aware of low cost and free software programs, while bringing authentic language and culture into the classroom. These programs and techniques can be used to create lessons, learning activities, inform and connect with parents, and reach out from their local community to a world wide audience.
Participants will receive a wealth of ideas on how to use digital images, video and audio to instruct, review and assess their students in the target language. Examples will include podcasts, blogs, games, karaoke style music videos, and electronic storybooks. Each example addresses National Standards for Foreign Language Learning. |
