| GOOD PRACTICES: |
- Choose your screen name carefully
- not gender specific
- do not include age, birthday or birthyear
- do not include your school's name, sports team or other info that places your geographically
- go through each buddy that your child has on his/her list
- do not allow them to have friends of friends who they personally don't know
- For younger users go to preferences and set that only preapproved senders may IM your child.
- Learn IM terms and lingo that kids might use.
