Hi World,

I am so excited to be part of this blog.

My name is Travelling Ted and I have been going home every weekend with different children from Room 17 for ten years now. They take me home and I get to take part in amazing adventures. I will be talking to you every week and let you know what I have been getting up to.

We have just had our summer holiday and I went home with Mrs Speedie ( she is the teacher in Room 17). We had a great time we went camping at Whangateau and then went to Omapere to visit my friends Mr and Mrs Helwes. We picked blackberries (I’ve never picked them before) and then we had the most delicious blackberry crumble AND custard.

Hi Teddies,
My name is Ranger Bear and I am new to the Teddy Bear Project. Even though I am a mascot bear for the Spencerport School District, I will be showing you things we do at Canal View Elementary School. Here is a picture of me with two other mascot friends in the computer lab. The students at our school love computers and technology classes. Do any of you have computer labs? How do you use technology in your school?

Mr. Fuzzy’s Superbowl Sunday

I had so much fun! I went out for a delicious lunch today with my classmate and her friend. I had chicken fingers and fries.They were great ! After lunch, we went across the street from the restaurant to a pottery place to paint .My classmate and I painted a ladybug jewelry box for Valentine’s Day . There were so many choices of pottery to paint that it was so hard for us to decide what to pick. We were happy with our choice. It was so cool to be able to pick different paint colors and to create our very own pottery .

After we left the craft place we went for ice cream and enjoyed a vanilla soft serve cone…what was really funny was we saw a dog sitting in a car eating vanilla ice cream from a cone that his owner was holding !!! I thought that bears were the only ones who enjoyed ice cream ..I guess I was wrong !

As soon as we got home, we started to get ready for the Superbowl. Go Giants! My class mate and I had a good time making homemade pizza and eating it …it was a blast ! In between commercials we ran back and forth to get some snack like chips , dip, and cupcakes ! I am so happy that my classmate is feeling better today because she had a cold over the weekend ..I made sure that I kept her company as she was getting over a cold. We watched the Giants play the Patriots and could not wait to see the half time show during the game. While we were watching the game, we looked at a cool fashion catalog …I liked alot of the outfits and jewelry ! But my favorite piece of clothing is my GSB sweater ! I had an awesome time with my classmate today ! Love, Mr. Fuzzy

Me and Ginger visit the Liberty Science Center !

We went to the Liberty Science Center on Saturday. It was so fun ! I loaded cargo on to a ship. Ginger loved watching me at work. Then I saw a big ball. It went in and out. Next I saw a really long fish. It was the largest fish I have ever seen. Ginger was so scared of the fish. I told Ginger it was a nice fish. We went to where there were Bubbles ! I made a humongous one !! Ginger was really impressed ! Next stop was at the rock wall. I climbed so high Ginger thought I was going to get hurt. I made it across the whole wall with no help. Then I blew myself with this air tube that made my hair stand up in the air ! Ginger laughed. Then we went to the sound maker it showed high sounds and low sounds. We then went to see a snake. Ginger was not that sacred. The next snake I saw was humongous and poisonous ! Ginger was so scared. We saw turtles next. They were really slow ! Then Ginger got to see me drive an excavator. Ginger thought I was so cool. There was a piece of the World Trade Center at the museum. I got to see it up close and shared with Ginger the story of the towers. At the end of the day we went to see a really cool 3D movie at the museum. We really had lots of fun ! Ginger and I played lots of Club Penguin.

I spent the weekend with a good friend. I watched her play ice hockey. Her team lost but it was still a great game. In her bedroom I made many new friends. I met some birds, pigs and more bears. We watched a lot of movies. I got a tour around her house. It’s humongous! We cuddled on the sofa and read many books. I went to her hockey practice she is a fast skater!This was the best weekend ever!

I watched Diary of a Wimpy Kid with my new friend. I really enjoyed the popcorn and apple juice box. I laughed out loud throughout the entire movie! I begged her parents to watch another movie, but it was time to go to bed. I was disappointed, but understood the house rules.

I guess I was pretty tired after such an awesome day with my new friend. The guest bedroom was so comfy and warm. I cuddled under the covers and drifted off to sweet dreams.

I woke up the next morning filled with tons of energy. All of my friend’s sisters sat down for breakfast which was homemade pumpkin bread and fresh squeezed pineapple juice. It was time for piano lessons. I was nervous, but I quickly learned a song. My new friend sang and I played. It was a great fun!

Wow, this family really likes to play! After making up a dance routine, we decided to play Candy Land. The four of us played and I was yellow. It must be my lucky color because I won. Everyone congratulated me.

After a fun filled day, we were all hungry. My new friend gave me a red sweatshirt with the letter “A” for awesome on it. I think I’ll were it all the time. I tried Thai food and it was delicious! I had spicy noodles and chicken satay, yummy. I am sad because it is my last night with them. I will miss her and the rest of her silly family. However, I am excited to see where I go next week.

Traveling to an International Math Convention

My pal, Spot, traveled to Abu Dhabi with our Math Department Chair in October while I was jaunting around France. He got to visit with camels and see the real desert! We had to work quickly to get his passport ready, but it all worked out. Then, he went to England over the Christmas/New Year holiday, as I needed to travel within the continental United States. However, my suitcase is repacked with clean clothes, and I am ready to go somewhere else soon! Love, Cupcake

Snow Day in Tokyo

Last night it began snowing and we knew we would have a late start to the school day today. This morning school was cancelled. There wasn’t a lot of snow compared to many places but several inches and lots of ice. We have students who ride the train, ride bicycles, come be car and walk to get to school. The roads and sidewalks were very icy and we want our students and staff to be safe. Most of the International schools closed but the Japanese schools are all open.

Mrs. Hino came and took me out to take some photos. She walked to school and has some photos from along the way.

Mr. Fuzzy Goes Skiing At Sugar Bush

I went on a trip with my good friend, Brooke to Sugar Bush ski resort in Warren, Vermont. Before I went I read the ski guide. I also reviewed the map so I knew exactly where to ski. It was a very long drive six and a half hours but it was well worth it. Everyday I went to ski school so that I could become the best skier I could be. At the end of the day I received a report card so I knew just how much I was improving.

After a long day of skiing we went out to wonderful dinners, my favorite place to eat was Timbers Resturant. I always ordered my favorite drink there a Shirley Temple.

On the last day I was finally ready to ski with Brooke. She took me all over the mountain. She is a really good skier. We skied all the blue trails and she even took me on a couple of black diamond ones, which are some of the most difficult.

I had such a great time with Brooke on the ski trip that I did not want to leave but I know that I have many more fun adventures ahead of me with the rest of my friends! Thanks Brooke I will miss you!
