The Ox Cart, a Costa Rican Tradition

Jose was so excited to see a Costa Rican ox cart.

Jose asked the oxes, “In your journey up the mountain, did you come across a crystal skull?”  No, we have been to busy pulling this cart but ask the coffee beans.  They don’t do anything but soak up water and sun.

We want to know if all the carts are that colorful or that beautiful? We have looked at a few pictures and they are all so cool and amazing. What do the ox pull in the cart. Colby guesses they are probably caring coffee beans. Is he right?

    Mrs. Davidson’s class,

All of the ox carts we have seen have been this beautifully decorated. It is a long standing tradition in Costa Rica. They pull everything in the cart. We have seen them pull wood and tools in their cart.

    Mrs. Gatling’s class,

Jose did not get to go for a ride in the ox cart. He only had time to pose for a picture.
